Tandoori Chicken

Are you looking for a dish that can be prepared in just three steps to cook on the weekends after a tiring week? I got you covered with a restaurant-style oven baken tandoori that's super simple to make. This dish is perfect for movie nights, party or family/friends get together. All you have to do is, Marinate the chicken in the yogurt spice mixture and keep it in the fridge overnight. Rest all is magic, the yogurt does the trick and makes the chicken juicy and tender. All done and now it's ready to go into the oven.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 680-gram chicken breast (made a slight cut)
  • ½ cup yogurt(use thick yogurt)
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp  chili powder (use kasthuri chili to get color)
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • pinch of kasthuri methi
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tsp lime juice
Method :

STEP1:

Wash and pat dry the chicken, cut three or more diagonal long slit on each chicken breast. Whisk together all marinade ingredients. Allow it to marinate overnight or at least for three hours(make sure marinade gets into all the slits).



STEP2:
  
Preheat the oven to 395F.Transfer the chicken from the marinade to the baking tray, spacing the chicken evenly. Discard any remaining marinade. Bake the chicken in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven. Brush some melted butter on the chicken, turn over the chicken and continue baking for another 20 minutes or until the edges turn slightly charred.



STEP3:

And broil for 5 minutes on both sides or until the chicken is charred. 

STEP4:

Remove the chicken from the oven and apply some melted butter on top of the chicken.
