Refreshing Masala Chai/Tea

Masala chai is a flavored tea beverage made by brewing black tea with aromatic Indian spices and herbs. Spices used in the making of this beverage work together and have a profound effect on the body. Masala tea has anti-inflammatory effects derived mostly from ginger. Recipe for Masala Tea/Chai

Recipe type: Beverage

Cuisine:  Indian

Yields: serves 5  person

Ingredients:

4 whole cloves

4 cardamom pods

1 cinnamon stick

2 tsp ginger 

2 cup of water

1 cup milk

2 tsp tea powder

few mint leaves

sugar as per taste



Method:

Step1:

Crush cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick in a hand pestle, or spice blender.

Step2:

Add into boiling water along with grated ginger and tea powder.


Step3:

once it starts to boil, add mint leaves simmer for 2-3 mins on a low medium flame.


Step4:

when the flavors are infused well pour milk and simmer for 2-3 mins. Filter to serving cups.
